Kakamega County

Single business permit

To operate a business in Kakamega County, one needs to obtain a single business permit from the County Government. The cost of the permit varies from one business to the other depending on its location, business type, size and even number of employees.

Land rates clearance certificate

Rates clearance certificate is a document proving that all land rates for a specific property have been paid. This document is issued by the County Government for parcels of land within Kakamega County.

Land rates

Land rates are levies imposed annually on parcels of land based on its value. These rates are payable to the County Government in which the parcel of land is located.

Alcoholic drinks licence

An alcoholic drinks licence is a permit authorizing the sale, manufacture, or distribution of alcoholic beverages. This licence is a legal requirement for anyone intending to engage in alcoholic drinks trade. In Kakamega County this licence is issued by the Alcoholic Drinks Control Directorate.

Outdoor advertisement approval
